Built-in and media wall fireplaces without a chimney
A built-in fireplace turns a wall into the focal point of a room. Planika's fireboxes arrive as a complete unit: casing, burner and safety systems in one. You set it into a stud wall, chimney breast, joinery or media wall, and you get a real flame without any building work. Most models are zero clearance, which means the casing insulates the heat. They can sit within a wide range of wall constructions and, following Planika's approved layouts, below a television.
Most of the range runs on Planika's patented BEV® (Burning Ethanol Vapours) technology. The fuel stays cool in a sealed tank, only its vapour is burned, and a microprocessor with safety sensors controls the fire from start to finish. You control it by remote, mobile app or smart home system, and refuel with an automatic pump. If you'd rather not use fuel at all, the Astro is a plug-in electric alternative.
